Harvested and crafted in the fall of 2021, this cake maintains the same exceptional quality of its 2019 edition. It is made from trees about 300 years of age, resulting in a tea that offers rich and layered flavors. What sets this tea apart from other young pu-erh is its texture. Not only is it remarkably smooth and full-bodied, but it is also durable and has a delightful sweet finish.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Use 4g-5g of leaves per 6 ounces of water. Rinse the leaves once with hot water (195ºF) and discard the water. Start steeping with water at 195º F and brew according to the recommended steeping times below.

I have only begun my puerh journey recently, my first cake was Bulang Old Tree. Even after trying dozens of other puerhs, this tea is still one of my very favorites. To me, the thick, vegetal tea soup gives way to an approachable bitter sweetness for many brews. The hui gan is cool and welcome. A very quality and modest priced tea, I purchased a tung for long term storage, it can only get better!

This is a very good example of a great autumn tea that has a wonderful balance of initial bulang florals in the beginning and a nice body to last many brews. Unlike many autumn puers that flattens out after the first couple brews, this one definitely lasted longer than I expected. At this price, a good deal given the quality of leaves. Can't wait to see how this pure autumn cake will age!
Our responseI almost forgot this is an Autumn tea. You are right. This tea is richer and thicker than most other autumn puerhs.

Very very nice Shen all you want in a puerh. Love the throat filling and thickness of this puerh. Did two extra infusions at a minute and minute and a half still had a lot left. Hope to purchase more.

I've stashed my seven cake tong in my pantry so it can age a few years so I don't know how it tastes. It shipped quickly and the bamboo packaging is nice.
