Taste characteristics: Made by Arya Tara Tea Estate in Nepal, this tea is primarily comprised of tippy buds. The aroma of the leaves is cocoa and caramel candy. The broth is rich and smooth, thick and warming. It finishes with a wheat and slight malty flavor. It is an absolutely satisfying tea - drink it straight or add a splash of non-fat milk, if desired.
I have tasted many Nepalese black teas during my visits there, but in my opinion, the quality of this tea far surpasses all the others. Drinking a fine tea like this makes one appreciate the talent and hard work of these dedicated tea makers.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: Use 6g of leaves for 6 oz. of spring water. Rinse the leaves quickly with hot water and discard the water. Start steeping according to the recommended steeping time below. Adjust to your personal preference and the size of the brewing vessel.
