Type: Raw Pu-erh (unfermented) Grade: 1-3 Production area: Bulang Mountain, Yunnan Province
Made from trees on the average of 300-years-old, this tea is incredibly thick, savory, and stable. This is a young tea but yet it possesses many of the qualities of an older tea. What sets this tea apart from other young puerhs is its texture. Not only it is smooth, round and full-bodied, it is amazingly durable such that the flavor does not fade even after many brews. These are qualities that are usually found in teas made from older tea trees.
Also available in a 7 cake handsome tung.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: Use 4g of leaves per 6 ounces of water. Rinse the leaves once with hot water (195ºF) and discard the water. Start steeping with water at 195º F and brew according to the recommended steeping times below.
A bold and refreshing hug from the boughs of an Old Tree.01/13/2021 ByCody I have only begun my puerh journey recently, my first cake was Bulang Old Tree. Even after trying dozens of other puerhs, this tea is still one of my very favorites. To me, the thick, vegetal tea soup gives way to an approachable bitter sweetness for many brews. The hui gan is cool and welcome. A very quality and modest priced tea, I purchased a tung for long term storage, it can only get better! Our responseWelcome to the world of pu-erh. The Bulang Old Tree is a good-valued tea. In time, I can imagine it will only get better.
Lingering salavation03/08/2020 ByNeal Perrin Very very nice Shen all you want in a puerh. Love the throat filling and thickness of this puerh. Did two extra infusions at a minute and minute and a half still had a lot left. Hope to purchase more. Our responseThis was a good find. Great quality for a great price.
