(I'm guessing the basket is not included with the smaller size.) If I'm not mistaken the bamboo has a subtle effect on the flavor of the tea making it more complex. Highly recommend this tea. Yes, some bamboo pieces are mixed in the tea leaves adding flavors to the tea. We are glad you like it. Given more time, this tea will be very good. LiuAn is my grandmother's favorite tea.
