Black Tea

Black tea (hong cha, 红茶, or "red tea" in Chinese) is fully oxidized during processing, developing the darker leaf and rich color for which the style is known. Depending on cultivar, origin, and processing, black teas can offer fruity, floral, malty, honeyed, chocolate, spice, and other rich aromatic qualities.
