Our Vintage Tea Sampler is a terrific way to discover the diverse flavors of the best aged Pu-erh teas that Bana offers. This beautifully packaged collection comes in a sheer organza sack tied with a satin ribbon. It contains 7 labeled samples of loose tea chipped off of our Pu-erh tea cakes and bricks. Also included is a mini brochure with descriptions on each tea in the sampler as well as brewing instructions for best results. This sampler makes a wonderful companion gift for a Gift Certificate or any of our brewing accessories. Bada Mountain Ripe Pu-erh (1999 vintage – fall harvest)
This aged ripe Pu-erh is made from the ancient wild arbor trees. The tea is not only very aromatic, it also possesses a bouquet of complex flavors that is relaxing and satisfying. It provides a long-lasting lychee aftertaste.
Yiwu Chun Rui Raw Pu-erh (2002 vintage – second spring harvest)
This burnt orange brew provides a combination of smokiness, dry weedy and subtle sugar cane sweet notes that linger on your palate for a prolonged time. The sensation is very distinct and satisfying.
Menghai Grade A Raw Tuo Cha (1996 vintage – second spring harvest)
This tea’s mouth sensation is steady and comfortable. It starts with the flavor of dried jujube, with a hint of ginseng. The tea broth becomes sweeter in subsequent brews.
Chen Xiang Aged Ripe Pu-erh (1994 vintage – mixed harvest)
This mellow, smooth aged ripe Pu-erh is not only satisfying to the palate and soothing to the stomach, it is also calming to the soul. Drink it after a meal or whenever you feel overwhelmed.
Yiwu Golden Unicorn Raw Pu-erh (2005 vintage – spring harvest)
This dark orange brew possesses all the classic characteristics of a Yiwu tea. You can taste the honey and date flavors at the onset. The “qi” makes one feel very relaxed and soothing.
Original Aroma from Wild Raw Pu-erh (2001 vintage – spring harvest)
This name brand vintage Pu-erh tea cake was described in the Pu-erh Teapot Magazine as “one of the important collections in your Pu-erh collection.”
Xiaguan Wild Seven Sons Raw Pu-erh (2005 vintage – spring harvest)
The unique and complex characteristics of this tea set it apart from other Pu-erh tea of similar vintages. It is an ideal drink in the afternoon when a “lift” is needed.
