This 2001 tea cake was reviewed and highly recommended by Pu-erh Teapot Magazine published in Taiwan. This tea brews initially with a gamboge color and has a sweet honey aroma and taste. After the 5th brew, the tea turns burnt orange in color and a bouquet emerges of date, ginseng and longan (dragon eye fruit) flavors. The most attractive and distinct characteristic of this tea is its long lasting aftertaste. The sensation and flavors of the tea lingered for so long that I did not want to drink or eat anything else for quite some time. This tea was described in the Pu-erh Teapot Magazine as “one of the important collections in your Pu-erh collection.”
*There are two editions of the Original Aroma from the Wilda thin wrapper (dry storage) and a thick wrapper (wet storage). The cake we offer has been aged in a pure dry storage environment and is the thin wrapper edition.
